My Story:

I am a military veteran with 18+ years of experience as a correctional officer, using leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to remain a vigilant and productive resource to the facility and its inmates. One of my continuous assignments was as a Classification Officer, where I helped with risk management, involving the safety of inmates and other officers. After coming across some videos on software development, I realized I could get the energizing challenge of combining logic and creativity to build products that help others. I am committed to working with a diverse range of people on software design and problems to make our lives and the world a better place.
